Happy Fourth of July weekend! I'm taking advantage of the long weekend by setting aside some serious crafting time. Here is my entry for Mo's Digital Challenge which is Inspired By A Book Or Story. This is a challenge I enjoyed a great deal as I like to make Mo's delightful characters appear to jump off the page.
For this challenge I chose the Hatter (http://digitalpenciltoo.com/index.php/Hatter.html) I colored him in shades of brown but added green and pink to some parts of the image. My goal was to make him look as though he jumped out of a page from the book. He is colored with Copic markers but I colored him at a crop and didn't keep track of the colors I used - I was talking too much, I guess. I mounted him with foam mounting tape on a distressed page from the book. The illustration on the page is from Graphic 45, the paper is from Webster's Pages. The phrase and question mark were cut with Cricut using the Nursery Rhymes cartridge. I finished with some flowers I purchased on clearance from Michaels.
Thank you for looking.
